With Fourth of July festivities taking place tomorrow, we know that everyone is feeling that surge of American spirit running through your veins. Here at FarmTek, we are proud to produce American-made goods each and every day. From our ClearSpanTM Fabric Structures to our FodderPro Feed Systems, we design, engineer and manufacture many of our products right here in the land of the free and home of the brave.
Originally established as a poultry product supply company in 1979, FarmTek grew in both popularity and size just a few short years after opening. President and CEO Barry Goldsher developed a partnership with Chairman and Founder Chuck Clark, and before long the two had a business larger than anything they had originally anticipated. With over 400 total employees and two operating locations, it’s safe to say that business at FarmTek and its affiliate companies, Growers Supply, TekSupply and ClearSpan, is booming.
Currently, our corporate headquarters and sales call center is located in South Windsor, Connecticut, while manufacturing and distribution occur in Dyersville, Iowa. Our centrally located shipping hub helps get our products to the consumer faster and lowers the costs associated with the shipment of our large-scale products, such as our ClearSpan High Tunnels or Custom Engineered Greenhouses, which need to be shipped by freight truck. With design, engineering and manufacturing all completed “in-house”, we here at FarmTek are truly dedicated to helping the great American farmer. We know how important farming is and want you, the American farmer, to have the products you need to succeed, so we offer open house accounts and flexible payment plans, like our 5 year zero down, no interest and no payment special financing plan which help make our products more easily affordable.
If you haven’t worked with us previously, when you call in initially to place an order or to discuss a custom-designed system, you will work with a National Account Manager that will be put in charge of your account. Your National Account Manager will then learn the needs of you and your farm in order to expedite future service and offer suggestions on products that will best suit you. When ordering something simple, such as our EZ-Haul Garden Carts, your National Account Manager will place your order, and if this is done Monday-Friday before noon Eastern Standard Time, your product will ship that same day.
However, when ordering a manufactured item, such as a custom-designed hydroponic system, you will work with one of our hydroponics specialists who can design a system to meet your needs. After the design is complete, your hydroponics specialist works directly with our engineering and manufacturing team to ensure that your system is built to the proper specifications. Once your system is manufactured, it is shipped to you from Dyersville, Iowa, where upon receiving the shipment, you can install it yourself or our highly-skilled installation team can come and construct it for you.
We‘re proud to be an American company, born and raised, and we have no intention of changing anytime soon.
